Biography

I am an enthusiastic engineer who wants to answer unanswered questions about complex brain functions from an engineering viewpoint applying computational neuroscience methods. Principally I am interested in studying synchronization in complex networks, including mathematical measures of synchrony. This intention is motivated by a question on the effect of partial time delays through inter-neurons’ interactions on neuronal network synchronization. I tried to investigate this effect in the single-layer and multi-layer neuronal networks. Plus, I am interested in neuron and neuronal network modeling. I succeeded in presenting biologically plausible neuronal networks and upgrading the Izhikevich neuron to have a computationally cost-effective model considering the electromagnetic field effect in neuron’s behaviour.
