Biography
Tomasz Kapitaniak (born April 27, 1959) – Polish professor of technical sciences . He specializes in issues in the field of mechanics (including theoretical and applied mechanics) and dynamics of machines. A correspondent member of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2013, he was a member of the Mechanics Committee of this institution. An employee of the Department of Machine Dynamics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Lodz University of Technology. Former member of the National Science Center. He obtained a doctorate in technical sciences in 1985, and he was awarded the title of professor ten years later.
